Interesting. Post some photos when you are done, I’d like to see.

SteelIt! Stuff is amazing and so far seems to hold up better than most spray can bedliners. Best part is it now comes in black.

Unless you clear coated over it, Steelit in stainless isn't salt resistant. I painted my tow hooks with it and they are rusty a year later.

How has this held up over the years? This is the combination I am thinking about going with.

Yeah absolutely, or better yet do you have ig?Its holding up amazing!!I actually plan to start doing some work in the side coating stuff for people. I couldn't be happier, doing better than some of the previous powder coat jobs i've had and I love the texture. I'll be doing anything that's metal in this going forward!

Lot of talk in the St. Louis thread about Ace Hardware brand self-etching primer and flat black finisher. Couple of us have sliders incoming or being finished soon, we'll have to get some pics and results up here.

From everything I've seen, the bedliner sprays are only worth it if youre not bashing against rocks/trees/jeeps etc.

3 full cans of the Ace brand grey primer, 6 full cans of the Ace brand black primer/paint (tall cans). Had to paint them outside one coat at a time and then bring them inside for protection, hence a few runny spots. Overall finish is boss, also added 3M trailer step tape (can't find that pic)
