You are one of few for sure. The guy i bought it owned it from new and raved about the color. Ill be getting the front bumper black soon. Just ran out of plastic last time i pulled the herculiner and gun out. (I was doing two truck beds and my rear bumper)

I will not ignore your battle scar(rocker dent), as you asked in your picture post.... Lol. Battle scars are part of who that truck is and where it's been. Looks good hombre. I really like that look.

Zaaaammmmm. That's one helluva ride for a ball joint. Testament to the OEM quality argument.

That looks awesome. Does it feel like a true bed liner or is it a relatively smooth feel? It looks pretty smooth in your pictures.
One of my concerns would be if the paint cracks it would be a little harder to touch up than regular paint.

    Read up on www.monstaliner.com

It's durable and much nicer finish than 'regular' bedliner with all their rubber chips ingrained.

    Not affiliated, etc etc.

    @Obsessed2000, nice!

Extremely smooth which is why i dont use it in my beds. I like those to be grainy. But i highly dought this stuff will ever crack or need to be touched up. I did my white taco with Herculiner and had to go back and sand all the rubber crap off because didnt like how it felt.

Just be sure not to cut corners during the prep!! Between sanding the whole truck cleaning and taping i think it took ke two or three days.

Didn't know there were varying grades on the texture. That looks really nice as well. I like that.

That most liner looks a little glossy, or is that just from the rain?

I'm interested in your reasoning for the texturized paint.

I'm looking to paint my 03' DC in John Deere Blitz Black. I have a Harley with the Denim Black finish, which is similar. I am familiar with the way to take care of it. It is a bit texturized, like military Humvees (I drove one in Iraq), and they can tend to hold dust, which is generally easy to remove with a hose. Certain glass cleaners work well for a clean wash.

The choice in paint for me is tactical. Shiny paint reflects light. My project with the DC I just aquired is a Tactical Tacoma bugout vehicle.

You dont have to worry about scratches and it resists small dings and dents. When it comes time to clean you just go at it with a pressure washer. If you want it glossy you can coat with a tire foam or other similar product.

I think you meant to type 'monstaliner' instead of 'most liner'?

www.monstaliner will tell you about the finish and provide tons of photos.

I think it's a bit of a satin finish myself.

Since you guys sprayed it, vs rolling it on, did you still order the whole Roll on kit? It just seems like a a waste of money since I wouldn't need all the rolling tools.

I dont recall getting the rollers so i must have just gotten the two gallons of tintable stuff. I also bought their gun just so it was the right thing, and the air regulator.

Then just get your self familiar with the gun and your good to go. Make sure you set enough time aside to do two to three coats bc once your mix everythig you only have about 8 hrs before its wasted.

Also remeber this crap is not easy to remove once its dry. So cover your skin. I wore flip flops and my toe nails were blue for months, and skin for a week. Id recommed the thick rubber gloves the ladies use in the kitchen since there long and durable.

Last but not least i cant stress enough how important the prep is. I used a directionsal sander with 220 grit paper. Then a damp cloth to collect dust off the truck followed up by acetone on a cloth. From there tape every thing and cover anything you dont want blue including the floor. Good luck and be sure to post some pics of before an after.
