Painting your chrome grill. ?????

    Hey guys

    Im thinking about painting my chrome grill and badges.
    and i was wondering if you guys had any advice.
    I have herd that painting "plastic chrome" is tough to make it look good and last.


    any suggestions, thoughts and pictures please ?

    i own a bodyshop and i 320 grit sand the chrome and use an etch primer never had any trouble.

    no m mine is a sport all is painted but i did do my 06 dodge ram grill and bumpers guy i sold it to says still looks good and i did my dads 07 f150 grill and bumpers about 10,000 miles ago no chips yet the key is to use a real good etch primer . no spray can crap

    Dome light LED, 6000k HID Headlights and fogs, Grillcraft black mesh, rear 5100's, Total Chaos UCA's, 285/75/16 BFG KM2's, Spidertrax spacers, Blacked out emblems, cb,kenwood tm270 ham radio, All Pro 3" leaf pack, Fox 2.0 coilovers, Revenge Fab Sliders, u bolt flip kit, Pioneer avh4200, bed bar with light and antenna, Wet Okoles, Weathertech Mats, Wet Okole Armrests, Rear KR Fab bumper, bed mat, N-Fab spare tire carrier with full size spare on 16" TRD rim, Bedlinered flares and grille. Camburg Spindles, All Pro front fenders.
    For the badges just use krylon fusion black. Just sand and rough the badges up a little and apply like 3 coats. I have pics in my gallery. I want to paint my chrome grill silver to color match. Idk if im going to do it myself or have a bodyshop do it yet.

    Guys thanks alot for the super quick info.
    I went for a bike ride about an hour ...i get back and im almost know everything there is to know about painting plastic .....thanks to all the great peeps at tw !!!!!!!! thanks again

    color matching is the way to go, chrome sucks.... harley is almost 100% dechromed..
