Panasonic 53" TV

So I have a 53" Panasonic TV (model #PT53WX52) and am thinking about sellin it. I've been looking online and they are sellin new for like $1600. Amazon has a used one for ~$1500. The one I have is about...maybe 6 years old? Not really sure. So all you technology experts out there...what do you think would be a reasonable price for this thing?

 

HD. 1080i. I'll post a picture of it in a second. It's a crappy pic, but it's all I've got for right now...

400-500 bucks i'd say cause u can buy a new 52" for 800, but thats just what i would pay.

I'd venture a guess somewhere south of $500. If it is rear projection(what it looks to be) and being 6 years old, it is certainly going to need a new lamp sometime soon if it hasn't been replaced recently. They can easily run $250 or more, so that is something that potential buyer, if they are savvy, would expect to deduct off the purchase price.

 

$300 to $500 is your haggle range.

Sorry. TVs, like cars, depreciate hard and fast. Not having 1080p or newer features (higher refresh rates/sub-field rates, contrast ratio, etc.) is going to make it hard to recoup much.

Edit: just noticed it's a rear proj - yeah...lamp usage is a concern.

 

I would only pay 300-400, but you should list it on craigslist for 500 and see what happens.

This is bigger than yours, 6 years newer, 1080p, 120hz and only $1300. You can find cheaper than this as well, so I would not expect 1500, sorry

Yea i wasn't expectin 1500. I saw that on Amazon and thought it was ridiculous considering we paid 1600 new when we got it.

 

Is that a rear projection tv? If so forget about even trying to sale it if it is that old.

 

Yea. It's a CRT projection. 16:9 aspect ratio.

 

You will still be able to find some poor college kid who wants a big tv, theres a market, but you are gonna take a hell of a hit in $. If only toyota made tv's, then it would prob still be worth over 1k haha.
