Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I had Pandora working great in my truck from April until sometime last week or so, and now I'm experiencing this:

When attempting to play Pandora via an Android phone over bluetooth to a connected car head unit, the head unit will not display song/artist information. The app will not respond to input from the head unit, nor steering wheel controls. This occurs while the head unit has 'Pandora' selected as the source.

    Head units tested:
    • Kenwood KDC-X998 (this is what I have installed. When using Pandora, it also says, "Check Device". When set to 'Bluetooth Audio' as the source, it has an empty display but responds to pause, play, skip input)
    • Alpine CDE-164BT
    • Pioneer AVH-3300NEX (interesting note, if this unit is set to 'Bluetooth Audio' as the source, it will read track information, but won't do it when changing the source to 'Pandora')
    Phones Tested
Regrettably, I only have access to two different Nexus 6P phones, no other Androids. Both have the following:
    Android 8.0.0
    Pandora build Nov. 22 2017

I also have an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 4, but Kenwood support said it's not an accurate test since iPhones can't display Pandora information over Bluetooth. I think that's an inaccurate statement, but I don't have a way to really know since I never tried in the past. In any case, those phones also suffered the same issue as the Android.
Interesting note, when I connected the iPhone 4 via USB to the KDC-X998 and used the 'Pandora' source, I instantly had song/artist information and regained controls. I have not tried Pandora over USB with any other device.

Hey dude. I just found your thread. Keep me posted on the fix. I have the exact issues and they just started recently. I did get it working somehow a few days ago but spent an hour on it and don't remember because I tried so many things. Anyway it came back today so I sent emails to kenwood and Pandora. If I learn of a fix I'll let you know

I got it to work. The Pandora to Android troubleshooting section said to delete the cache in the app. I did a force stop , deleted the memory and disabled the app. Had to sign in again. Same message in truck so I reset the deck. Same message. Then I turned off all the settings in the app then turned em back on. Twenty seconds later the screen on my phone said Pandora and the deck recognized it. Turn the car of and on a few times to triple check. It works but I'm no positive what part of that process did it for me. Good luck
