My panic alarm sometimes goes off when the vehicle next to me is being vacuumed. Too sensitive and if so, can I adjust?

Panic alarm or your regular car alarm? The car alarm should have a small sensor under the dash. Most shops install them on the steering column. The box itself has a small knob to adjust the sensitivity. You’ll have to get under there to look.

First figure out if this am OE system or aftermarket. It sounds like the latter.

That’s crazy. I have basketballs bounce off my truck all the time and get nothing. I’m willing to bet the alarm is aftermarket installed by a dealer.

I fold my mirrors in and the alarm goes off.
