    Hey all,

This is my first post here, so I hope I am putting this in the right spot.

I am about to purchase my first Tacoma and I had a question around the Panoramic View Monitor (PMV). Also heard it called the Birds eye view and 360 camera. Anyways, I’m struggling to find out where it is listed and on what package for 2020.

On the website I only see it on the limited, but I know I’ve seen it on Off-roads on the lot. When checking with my dealer and looking through the package, there is nothing that indicates that it is on the Advanced Technology package, but he ensures me it is. Does anyone know how I can verify this or am I the first to tackle this woe.

I’m trying to make sure I don’t order the wrong configuration and have to be “that guy”... then again, I’m not getting much info from the dealer on the specifics. Honestly, they seem just as confused as me.

Thanksk for any help with this in advance. Much appreciated.

    cheers,

    Chris

If you get the Advanced Technology package it will have the panoramic view monitor (PVM).

toyota.com/tacoma/features/ look for 2020 tacoma full specs.

This makes much more sense. I probably looked at this line item as the Multi-terrain select instead of the monitor. I guess they change the name from PVM to multi-terrain on the off-road? interesting.

@mrtonyd did you ever get a response? Curious if they can be retrofitted too.

No and the Toyota system is so expensive it wouldn't be worth it.

Honestly its nice but its so low resolution a lot of owners complain about.

Best choice is a forward camera and an anytime rearview camera mod.

No while it would be nice I think I found out you would have to redo the entertainment unit to work with the cameras and some other stuff too. Sounds like a bit too much work imo.
