I need to attach the front of the cap with some angle steel I got from work. Close the gap between the bed and the cap. I'm going to use the t-slot rail to accomplish this.

The roof rack makes putting up 9'2" single fin so easy. IMG_0331.jpg

Swapped out lower control arms for same own lower control arms. Makes ball joints life easy. Turns out you dont need to do much to replace lower control arms. Seriously like 8 bolts. Thanks Taylor and Mikey.

Mounted up a fire extinguisher in the bed. Now I have one in the cab and one in the bed.

Added a pair of 9" round Iggy Corp lights to the front bumper. These things are super bright and I'm very happy with them. Rated at 10,500 lumens a piece these suckers put out some light.

First I had to weld up some mounts to the bumper (thanks Joe)

    IMG_6640.jpg
    IMG_6676.jpg

Once the mounts were on the rest was simple. The lights came with a full wiring harness including relay and switch. The switch was the hardest part to install because I had to take apart the dash for the first time. But that wasn't too difficult either.

I plateaued with Karl and offroading and life in general over the last couple of years due to personal issues but I feel reinvigorated in all aspects and am looking forward with veracity to new challenges and adventures and outfitting this rig to tackle it all. Let's get out and do some camping. How's your 4x4 conversion coming?

I am currently making some curtains for the shell and cushioning the roof rack on the shell for surfboards. I wrapped the aluminum rack with insulation and have purchased a couple yards of water proof weather resistant material to wrap the insulation in. Looking forward to it when it's finished. So far...

Going to mount my maxtrax onto the tool box inside the cab. Going to reinforce the aluminum with plates first though. The maxtrax are surprisingly heavy. IMG_0373.jpg

Got a pinball tournament in SD this Wednesday and might hit a trail up in Idyllwild this weekend. Great trail that we haven’t done yet. You down?

The trail is right up the road from Palm Springs. Look up Santa Rosa Truck Trail.
