Just purchased a 05 tacoma v6 4x4. Battery died in two days. Traced it to fuse 21 ECU then to drivers door. Light off door closed it draws 245ma, then sometimes it times out to 20ma - (normal). Open the drivers door and it jumps to 245mn. Looking for d7 interior light relay. Don

What accessories are you running (winch, ditch lights, etc.)? How old is your battery? Please don't consider this my doubting your ability to trace the parasitic draw to fuse 21... just trying to get an idea of what baseline you're working with. Also: have you made ANY changes since purchasing the taco or is this brand new to you with no mods recently performed? Do you know the previous owner and can you ask what the last thing he or she installed?

The interior light is controlled by the Body ECU.
When the door is open, it grounds pin 28 of the Body ECU.

When this problem occurs, does the interior light come on?
What about the door open light on the dash below the speedometer?

Anyways, here is location of the door control receiver. D7
D7 is only used for the wireless door locks.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the problem you are describing.

    0.02A is 20 milliamperes.
    .020 milliamperes is nothing……

Yeah...most Hondas are between .015 to .030…depending on the model.
Anything over .050 is considered a draw

TnShooter you are right. I just found it. Unplugged the ECU and no change. Found a blueprint that D7 was not in the circuit. Took the short door skin off drivers side and started unplugging connections ,draw went away with the single wire push switch when the door closes. Tested it 3 times and it came back. Thank you.
