Park lights

My truck failed inspection because the parking lights are shutting off when the headlights come on. They work when it’s drive lights only. Any idea on what would be causing this? 2017 TRD Pro

 

any lighting mods? Sounds like a short somewhere?

 

Unfortunately yes but I haven’t done anything with them in a while.

 

They work fine with the DRL lights are on but as soon as the highlights are turned on they shut off.

 

It’s hard/impossible to say what’s causing your parking lights to shut off without seeing or knowing what lighting mods you’ve done or how you’ve done them.

My suggestion, un-do your mods, see if your parking lots start behaving normally, if they do get it inspected then figure-out what is causing your problem.
