Looking for more info on parts. Previous owner cut the parking brake cable.

I've tried a few different toyota parts vendors and they list a #1 #2 #3 cable, not sure which mine is.

'96 2WD 2.4L. single parking brake that comes down the left frame rail and connects to the rears.

Cable is probably ~50" in length and has two swedge cylinders ala bicycle brakes on each end, the front swedge was cut off but it is smaller than the rear

I think I'm looking at part number 46410-35890. on the diagram it looks like two swedges but it's hard to tell and I've already bought the wrong part once

Here's my cable (swedge in picture is from rear just showing size difference)

Call a Toyota service center and give them your VIN. They should be able to give you the correct part number.
Personally I had no idea there were so many variants.

I would think there are three due to 3 versions of the trucks, RC, EC and DC.

Went through a few OEM's myself before I learned this issue is fucked. Just find a junk yard with your same generation and body model and you'll save money too!

    Yeah.
RockAuto has different ones listed for 2WD/4WD and whether you have a manual or auto. There are 3 cables, one front one and one for each side in the rear. One of the first 2 listed might be right, and only 25 bucks for both. The Dorman ones list the length, and some have the length listed in the details.upload_2021-8-11_10-43-17.jpg

The OP needs the front one that is from the parking brake handle to the bell crank on the frame... this going off of his posted pics.

    Ohhhhh that makes sense.

I was interpreting it as there was an option for a front axle parking brake. But it would seem more correct that I need the front cable that runs to the rear brakes
