Whenever I release the parking brake on my truck the "parking brake" icon on the dash stays on for a few minutes. Anybody ever had any issues with this before? The parking brake still releases, so having the light on isn't that big of an issue. But if there is a sensor that is faulty/dirty that is accessible to replace, then I'm all ears!

I had that happen on my old T100. It turned out to be low on brake fluid.

@JayLewis_7 There is a switch on the parking brake pedal for automatics and on the Hand Pull Brake for manuals. And as stated a low brake fluid level will also cause the light to come on.

Brake warning light will come on for 3 reasons..

    - low fluid level in res
    - parking brake applied
    - loss of pressure in the hydraulic brake system
