Parking garage vs 3" lift... does the truck fit?

    Many parking garages have 6'6'' clearance in order to get to an upper level. Will a 2nd gen tacoma fit in that if you have a 3' lift installed? Anyone have any experience with this? Or have a good story if you tried and didnt fit?

    mostly stock, grocery gettin' Prius
    Tried a parking garage after installing 33's recently also have a full OME 3" lift and the parking garage was 6'9" at the entrance and I looked at the fiancee and said "I don't think I will fit" of course we had tickets to see comedian Chris DiStefano. Long story short, I fit with about 3-4" to spare.

    Do you have just the lift or lift and larger tires?

    I have neither... but still going back and forth between level lift and 3'' lift. This was one of my main concerns about the 3'' lift. No chance to find parking in downtown sacramento that is not in a parking garage.

    No you don't. Even if it hit the parking garage what's the big deal, it's an antenna it won't do anything

    I have a Baja with something like 1.75" OEM lift on 265's. I was in a hospital parking garage with 6'3" clearance the other day and the antenna kept hitting shit.

    Yea I am certain mine would hit in the garage the other day. Just use a dremel and cut it to 13". Still fully functional and it won't hit anything or get "damaged".

    3" lift here.
    I have trimmed my antenna a few inches to avoid hitting my garage door every time I drive into my garage.

    But, the antenna is still a few inches above my roof.

    So when I enter a parking structure or underground parking i just watch to see if the antenna hits anything. If it does I stop because I'm close to hitting my roof.

    I have a 3" lift and 285/75r16's on my 06 and with the tires at 40psi I just knocked the antenna on a 6'6 garage. You'll be fine.

    CARID.com. Had to look it up in my paypal account. I just went and measured it and it's 21" tall. The Big Stick. Now, while I love the service department at Toyota of Dallas, the car wash kid ran it through the machine with the antenna on...tweaked the mount. I still don't have it quite straight. It doesn't bang the roof in the parking garage though.
