I have an issue with my dash cluster lights not working and my rear marker lights. I was installing the compustar 920s remote start on my truck. I hooked the wire for parking lights negative (from remote start) to my purple with red wire on the front of the fuse box. After doing that my lights went out and I can't find what the issue is. All fuses have been checked they are good. I checked ground wires all are good no open wires or shorts anywhere. Can someone help lead me in a good direction.

Thanks didn't know. Have you had a similar experience with the lights?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Does your remote Start work??

You have a open circuit some place.

Just how did you splice the connection physical crimp and solder then heat shrink??

Double check your connection with your meter.

I would have run that remote start to a direct body ground not through the light harness.

Strange why they have you splice into to the signal wire for the ECU?
The head/tail switch sends signal to the ECU. I have no idea what the wire they have you splicing in does? But if it’s sending a signal the ECU doesn’t like, you will probably have the issue you are having?

Yes the remote start works it also locks and unlocks the truck. The ground for it is to the body. I crimped all the connections.

I don't know that it's from the ecu. I can check that. But I do think it's after the fuse box coming out to run to the lights.
