    What is the color of the wire to tap into your parking lights I just got this new grill.

    Green is power
    White/Black is ground

    It’s up to you if you want to tap into the Ground wire, or just use a body ground.
    I personally don’t like splicing into any more wires than needed.

    Low beam is Red/yellow or Red/Black depending on what side you are tapping into.

    I don’t see why Parking lights won’t turn it on?

    Do the parking lights work?
    They are powered by the Tail fuse.

    '13 5 lug AC w/convenience package
    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Use a DVM to test.

    Then disconnect the battery ground and do your work.

    Reconnect your battery ground and test your work.

    Or use a test light. That way you know you have the ability to carry current.

    I still think the parking lights are a better option. Mostly because when using the headlights, the light will be on of off depending on whether you to tap to the Hi or Lo beam.
