So I am in need to replace the front rotors and brake pads and would like to stay with OEM unless another brand is just as good and produces little brake dust. I looked on toyotapartsstore and when I search for my truck it seems it only comes back with 2WD rotors and brake pads, part 4351235290 for rotors and 0446504040 which only shows for manual unless I am looking at this wrong.

My truck is a 04, 4X4, V6 Auto, 6 lug, Prerunner (ABS no VSC as far as I know) and since I am probably searching for this very wrong please let me know what part numbers I should be looking for both front rotors and pads.

    Thanks,
    --Dan

No benefits from using OEM pads, any run of the mill auto-parts store/brand are likely to work just as well.

Replaced both my rotors and pads (front and back) with parts from local car-parts stores, they searched their system and got exactly what I needed. You can always double check their database with the Internet. No problems here.

For clean running pads get DuraLast Gold ceramics, reasonable price. Had them on several cars including 3 Corvettes, perform very good, very little to no dust.

The rotors are spent to the point of being unable to be resurfaced?

Not quite that bad yet but last time I had an autoparts store measure it it was on the limit. Figured get new pads and rotors and just swap it all out.

I have been surprised by them as well. Im running them right now with their basic rotors and all seems well.

I've seen people do autocross on the golds and with blank O Reilly rotors. Some even track days on that set up.

My truck needed brakes pretty badly, the front had a seized caliper and the rotors were toast so I guess anything would have been better.
