Does anybody happen to know a part number for this piece on the front end of my 2016 Trd Offroad? It was damaged like then when I bought it so I'm guessing the previous owner hit something hard at some point of time offroading.0730180826.jpg 0730180824.jpg

Same part but not damaged on the passenger side

From the research I'm seeing they are just end caps to keep stuff from getting into the inside of the front frame cross member. Just bugs me

I took mine out when I installed my skid plates.

Which skid plate did you go with? My stock one is pretty beat up and would rather upgrade that then replace this stock cap.

Does mobtown plate seal these spots or just cover up them so you cant see then? Did you have to remove these to install the skid?

Removing that isn't necessary for a skid plate install. The skid plate wouldn't even really protect it. Below is my Mobtown skid plate (and front bumper). I highlighted the edges of the skid plate in red so you can better see it. Blue is where that piece would stick out (mine is removed).

My .02 is that it's not necessary. I would just remove both sides, repaint it so it doesn't rust more, and call it a day. If you're worried about stuff getting in there just make it a point to hose it out when washing your truck. IIRC it's not just some opening into the frame. It's only recessed a few inches and then there's a wall in there (hope that makes sense)
