    Mostly stuff I built.
    The accumulator in the system serves as a shock absorber in the hydraulic system. It also restricts the release flow of the fluid. I feel that this accumulator is part of the reason the clutch in these trucks burns so easily. Instead of a snap action on application you get a gradual application allowing slip.
