You can do that trip in a day. That's what I did when I picked up my bed from him. It's really not that bad.

Holy shit. How did that go?

Why was it so bad? It looks like it could work.

Take her with you. Tahoe is beautiful this time of year.

Wish I could've spent more time when I went, but I had to race back to Sacramento to pick up my Coilovers from the performance shop.

It went good just a bunch weird looks. I just don't have a bed to stack it on.

You should've seen the looks I got taking that bed home. How the hell did you manage to put it on top of the truck? It must weight a ton.

We set the bed on my bed cover then tilted the same up. I crawled up on 5th w bed then we lifted it from there.

Also do you have a list of other parts you need for the swap? like steering linkage, steering rack, suspension, trans, tcase, ecu and exc....

I probably wouldn’t swap. Just built a trail rig off the frame

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
I think I've pretty much gotten everything I can (for now) from @Tour991... My spindles, Manual Hubs, and CVs came from these part out trucks but the Trans, TCs, driveshafts etc wont work cause they are 4 bangers.

I am not an expert on this but I herd you can change the torch converter and bell housing to the v6 a34e and it will fit a v6. some thing maybe to check into

The output shaft and rear nose is what has to be replaced. And then you're halfway rebuilding the transmission. I'm actually not looking for a transmission. 90% sure I'm going to go with a new trans.

I could use the receiver hitch and skid plates for my 2001 4WD Tacoma 5VZ. Is it the OEM Class IV hitch or something else? Also need catalytic converters if you have any now or in the future.

    Trailer.

To make it easier, rent a trailer in South Lake Tahoe so you only have to go one way.
