Hello all, looking for the part number to the male 4 pin connector on 2016-2022 TRD, non sequential led model trucks.

If someone with a TRD could pop their hood and check it out, it would be much appreciated!!

In the process of installing some OEM LED headlights on this salty girl and could use some help.

Installing the lights on an SR5 and trying to make as plug and play with TRD harness.

Looking for this connector here but the male side. There should be 4 pin but only 3 wires connected.

@daveeasa can probably fix you up with a pnp harness...

Unfortunately, SR5 can't directly map unless you disable DRL and re-route it from some other source (add a fuse, pushbutton in the cab, etc).

On an SR5, DRL and Turn are combined via a single bulb so if you map that directly to both DRL and Turn on OEM LED headlights you won't get any DRL as Turn will override it, flash once, and wait for the signal to drop to 0V.

But, to your specific question, this is the male connector on TRD trims which provides DRL, Park and Ground:

    https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=984

Note that it's a male, whereas on an SR5 the DRL + Turn, Park and Ground is a 3 way female so you can't de-pin and re-pin either.

Doing an in-between adapter harness is kind of a waste of time (due to what I mention above).

The SR5 P&P harness @Puppypunter designed uses a timer and relay to de-multiplex DRL and Turn. We'll have more available within a few weeks but are sold out right now.

I have already done the TRD headlight in my truck now with added signal, low and high for led dimming

    Thank you for the link!!

This looks like the correct one and the parts website approves too. The one daveeasa posted above looks to have a different pattern.

@daveeasa was close. https://www.corsa-technic.com/item.php?item_id=992 That is the male you need. Same one @HAVOC linked to. They all start to look alike after a while :D
If you’ve already hooked up the TRD lights, I am guessing you had a way to disable the DRL?

Right now I run the led drl with the amber turn illuminated like in the pic above. I like the look. On the new headlights I can turn off the DRL signal with the headunit to my knowledge. If not I will find another solution.

Thanks for the PN. I ordered a pair for under $20 shipped

Yeah, I think in the 2020+ you can disable the DRL via the headunit. I am 99% sure (with the exception of Canadian models?) that if you have AUTO headlights, you can disable the DRL.
Are you using a relay to change between the dim/bright for the DRL?

Yes, I have a relay and add a fuse to make this work. Been running this for 2 years now without an issue.

I have a 2020 and I remember seeing the option on the headunit way back when.

When I originally did the TRD halogen lights I cut the 4 pin female off the headlight and just soldered these wire.
I did buy the 2 pin connector for the TRD turn back then but just need the connector above for the new lights. I would like to make it plug and play with the adapter harness.

I have so much trouble remembering which are Yazaki and which are Sunitomo. Should have checked the baggies / spreadsheet before suggesting. I’ll try to remember that there are two which look similar.

    sorry for any confusion.

Looks good. If you need wire leads crimped or anything, feel free to reach out. No charge since you’re answering all my stupid questions :D
And from what I recall, disabling the DRL was pretty easy to find. I don’t have the option (2019 SR), but did find it within a couple minutes of poking around on my friends 2020 SR.
Also, just a heads up; when you convert the turn signal to the OEM LED, you may get hyperflash. It might be kind of random too. That is what I have seen doing conversions on these. Same harness, same headlight, not being unplugged or even touched, and it will blink fine most of the time, and hyperflash every once in a while. And it can be like 1 in 4, or 1 in a 100. Drives me crazy. But the way I have found around this is using a small (15 or 25 Ohm) resistor. A 6 Ohm will over load the circuit. I get them from VLED as they tend to last, but just wanted to pass on what I’ve found. And if you ever want to retain the stalk control to be able to turn the DRL on and off, you could do it by adding another relay and tapping the white wire (DRL/AUTO) on the stalk switch. This is grounded when the switch is in that position. If you are interested in doing that, let me know and I will draw it up. I like that configuration because it maintains the stock stalk functionality. It is the way I would actually build the conversions if everyone had the option to disable the DRL.

So low beam is master, when on you only get dim. Then if low beam is off you control bright DRL w push button? Makes sense for low current draw.

I usually mix up Yazaki and Yakuza, which can be really awkward :rofl:

Yeah I would totally want the stalk to own DRL. I think that would need a 2nd relay though since it’s ground switched but that could eliminate the DRL circuit current through the switch which is one nice thing to gain.
