    There is a reason most coolant caps are made silicon.
    While a standard vacuum cap will probably be ok in this situation as hot coolant is not in contact with it most of the time.

    I would rather have the silicone type if I were caping a component with hot coolant.

    Again, it’s not a big deal here.
    But there is a difference in regular a “vacuum” cap and a coolant cap.
