truck came with fog lights partially wired. Wire in place for the switch. Not wired for fuze or relay and harness not in place for the lights. I pinned out the switch wiring and it is powered by the dash lights when head lights are turned on. 1 ground, dash light power, dash light ground and a signal energize wire for relay. ( blue). Question, where does the blue wire terminate and can I tie an aftermarket harness relay signal wire to the blue wire and have my lights work with the oem switch? I under stand that I will have to complete the wiring in the engine bay but I was just wondering if any one has done this before. hope this makes sense... thanks...

Blue wire is the return from fog relay pin 85 (Ground). The white with black is the ground to the fog circuit via switch. The fog circuit signal side is ground activated. This blue wire comes from connector on firewall then to engine room fuse box (which most likely your vehicle doesn't have) You could do what you ask. "tie an aftermarket harness relay ground wire to the blue wire and have my lights work with the oem switch"

So I can re configure the aftermarket kit to have a ground trigger finger instead of 12v like it is now?

yes, what aftermarket kit do you have? Also, would you show pics of the missing connectors in the fuse and relay location?

I have a winjet kit... I'm missing e very thing in engine compartment, relay wiring, fuse wiring and plugs for fog lights. Can't post pics right now, truck in shop for some warranty work. I did wire it up the way it came and it works. But, I don't like the add a circuit etc. I really would like to redo if I could using the factory switch wiring.....
