I have a quite a few friends at NC state that come home every weekend... how far away is campus from you?

 

so, I still need to procure some cables to go between the bussman and the battrey. see first post, down a little bit, will 2 footers work? any pros / cons of these cables? I am mounted just rear of the battery. I think they will work

2 foot might work but you also need a shorter cable to run from the breaker to the relay box. Pickup some wire and terminal ends and I can crimp them when I give you the box. Here is what I used, choose 4ga:

Is it easy to piggy back these together?
I just picked up one with an 80 breaker, but was thinking of setting up one for a house battery [dual battery] to hold the heavier draw or full time components [fridge etc] to keep them separate.

Fantastic price too! Would love to probably grab a second one for my trailer as well.

 

Any chance you have the link to the drawing for the Bussman box? I just want to have the dimensions to have my mounting panel milled for a ridiculous OCD fit...

 

Yea it should be pretty straight forward. Just run a cable from the battery terminal to the relay box terminal and then to the next relay box terminal. Just make sure the first stretch is large enough to handle both boxes amperage, or run two seperate cables to the.

I saw that.. I had a few pulleys take a shit, I'll get you the part numbers I replaced them with. Good luck with the rest of it.

 

I'm gonna swap to the sealed Napa ones while I'm in there. If I can find a 12+ hood I'm gonna wrap up my conversion too.

 

I've heard of them not being as good as they were thought to be. I went with Gates, read up about them on an FJ forum.

 

I was looking the same thread lol I might go with whatever is cheaper if you think the gates is better
