Good luck Guy. I just had a similiar situation where I had a new F-250, my wife lost her job and company car and is expecting in March, so congrats to you. I had to get rid of the F250 as it is not economical as a daily driver and way to big for a 5'1 woman to get in and out and put a kid in and also go to the store and things like that. I was way upside down as you can imagine so needless to say My tacoma payment is high, but as you said family comes first. I do love the tacoma and it has room for the 11 year old and the baby on the way. Good luck

The family is gonna need stuff hauled, like xmas trees, swing sets, etc etc etc & go camping and fishing & such. You'll need the truck, you'll regret not having one. Not to mention how long it'd take to make up the upsidedowness getting rid of it. I hated when my 82 wouldn't pass emmissions for about 5 yrs & having to sneak it out just to keep it alive until it was over 25 yrs old & didn't have to do emmissions any longer. Sucked ass trying to haul all kind of normal stuff on top of cars or stuffed in back of any "practical" vehicle". Do what you can to hang on to the Taco since it has seating for the whole family, IMO, because you'll wish you had it later on on many occasions. I kept my 82 single cab prerunner through having twins, a divorce, it being stolen & gettin it back & all kinds of other SHENANIGANS! Hang on to it, you won't regret it. OK, done what I could, resume normal functions...................

Just my .02, but I agree with the fact you'll need a truck. If you're not going to be upside down after trading it in then go for it if you wish. I know you definatley have room for 4 people esp since I would assume your 7yr old isn't in a booster? Either way, my buddy has a little focus and can fit a booster, infant seat, and easily another body in the back. I think you'd be fine with keeping the truck. I was in the same situation and have to make the 2 seats and booster seat work now with a 2 yr old and twins on the way
