I noticed my pass. brake lamp not coming on when applying the brake. With the parking lights or headlights on without pressing the brake, the bulb is illuminated like it should be just not getting brighter with the brake.

I bought a new bulb and checked all the fuses (which all were fine). when i went to change the bulb, the base broke off in the socket. Seemed as though the socket was burnt/warped??

I bought a new taillight wiring harness and put new bulbs and still the same problem exists. From my search i read to check connections and wiring to my trailer harness and maybe the wiring and connector under the brake pedal. Any other ideas or suggestions?
