It plugs in the driver kick panel no need to go into the driver door or near the computer - super easy. We should have an install video up shortly and will have them back in stock soon.

I was curious, so I went and checked the driver side kick panel to see which harness the PnP t-harness taps into, and couldn't find anything that matches the harness in @Accessorides picture.

Because, Accessorides' t-harness appears to only have 3 pinned wires, which I could not find. But it could be a pre-release photo and was still incomplete.

If so, then the possible connection would be at IC3, which is the harness that connects through the driver side door gromment to the smart handle. This is the same spot @caribe makaira tapped into. Pin 5 &10 on IC3 are the same as Pin 3 & 4 at the key ECU.

You may be right. The two wire color are the same in comparison to the driver side.

@caribe makaira found and mentioned this last year, and I am surprised no one else has done it. That was my plan when I was to start this project.

The passenger side just mimics the driver sides antenna signal, sooo why not just follow the wires straight from the driver door's harness.
It is much easier than going all the way up into the dash to access the ecu.

Honestly for the amount of times that I would use this, it is just a big waste of time, money & reliability issues down the road.

Great writeup, can we get the Tacoma to lock it's own doors like my wife does with her Civic.

There were already some great videos posted by other members, but we put together a quick one as well to help with the install. Be sure to always reference our paper instructions included as they will always have the most up to date install info. Thanks guys :)

44 pages of positive reviews and how useful this mod is and someone has to add their stupid comment... why even bother to write it? if the mod is not for you, well, IS NOT FOR YOU. Reliability issues? What the hell are you talking about??

A review comes from someone actually buying a product and giving a fair opinion, what do you based your comment on? I guess you can’t fix stupid, lol :rofl:You do you, buddy!!!

Got to buy it and own it to review it.
Are you one of those guys that also saw a 5min clip, then rate 1/10 "Movie is shit, full of plot holes" on Rotten Tomato.

Just saw the video, the PnP harness does connect to the same IC3 connector in the driver's side kick panel.
No need to wire it up all the way to the Key ECU.

@Accessorides any TW special discounts available?

It doesn't work for the passenger side smart key harness. :(

I get "TACOWORLD discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart"
Is the code not updated for the harness yet?

Different strokes....Money well spent IMO, I use it daily. Still don't know how the heck it came from the factory with out it. Not much to go wrong unless you do a total hack job.
