It looks like you have to remove the inner metal panel off too? I got the plastic panel off but am scratching my head on the inner metal one and didn’t see any videos. Do you have a pointer to one?

Just pull the plastic panel off, and pull off the thin plastic liner (just held on with a gummy adhesive) you should see what you need to from there.

Thanks glad I don’t need to take the whole thing off. Was scared of pulling of the plastic thing at first since I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to put back, it came right off with the glue intact.

Got it working — Thanks to @Victory for making this possible. With this and my earlier pop’n’lock install The truck feels much more user friendly from a locking and access perspective.

I ordered my stuff back on may 2nd, I think the hold up is that back ordered part...someone here said may 21st so I haven’t bugged them because I got a good deal on all the hardware...but that’s tomorrow so I’ll call them then...so excited!

Were you able to get all the parts or did you forgo the back ordered item? Just curious before I call the dealership tomorrow.

I had the same scenario. Ordered on 4/25 from a dealer in San Diego, said the connector would be in on 5/16. Called on 5/16 said still another 2-3 weeks out.

Looks like others are having luck though getting the parts.

I even called Lexus since they have the same part but they are on backorder as well and almost 3x the price.

Parts shipped out today! Back order no longer. Will receive on the 30th! (I had placed the order 5/2).

If you plan on doing this, I'd get your order in ASAP before it's back ordered again, because frankly, this isn't a popular part in any case or rarely ever needed. They don't go bad, a car accident doesn't ruin them, and so the only time they need this part is when they're manufacturing and assembling the vehicle itself. They're probably confused as to why the sudden influx.

If they only knew...it’s funny because they caught on when everyone was ordering OEM PRO grills, they started to require PRO VINs because TW depletes thier inventory...poor PRO owners that may have really needed to replace one for whatever reason...but with this, maybe they can get the hint, like who does one door touch to enter! Like really? The corolla and Prius is have on both sides. I mean we’re not asking for all 4 doors, but give us options for both sides! Watch, this is going to a new feature soon, along with maybe better headlight lamps, projector housing and yello halogens...I get trying to maintain price points but cmon...not all of us buy tricks for construction use!

Installed, seems to work perfectly so far. Love this with the Lexus key card. Thanks for all your efforts @Victory

It wasn't too hard, but I didn't quite expect it to be as hard as it was. Not so much hard, as a bit tight working inside the kick panel, inside door, etc. (Just didn't realize it would take longer to do than my 2wheel low mod in the actual truck.) We will literally use this probably 50% of the time we use the truck, unlike 2wheel low...

Victory, post up a PayPal email or link, or PM one, or something. I want to kick you a few bucks for your efforts. Just a little bit to defray your costs.

Those of you running Techstream, I got it installed on my MacBook Pro under parallel desktop windows 10 but vim will not connect to vehicle. Not compatible with windows 10?
