So my fiance and i went to the local store today to get some beer and snacks for the superbowl tonight... and she got out of the passenger seat and went to shut the door and it wouldnt latch... so i thought she had shut the seatbelt in the door... checked that. It was ok, checked to make sure the access door was shut.. that was ok as well... felt the latch and it doesnt latch manually by hand. So took my truck to work and parked it and took a company truck home i will take it to toyota tomorrow which is right next door to work... thank god i have the toyota platinum warranty.. 06 with 75k miles so far it has the following replaced under extended warranty. I BABY THIS TRUCK!!!!

-reverse gear, syncro and shift fork
    -bell housing, throwout bearing
-left leaf spring set (helper spring broke)
    -muffler (rotted out)
-2 blower motors awaiting 3rd on backorder
    - WHATS NEXT?
this thing is a dissapointment and i wish i had my 02 tacoma back....

I bet he latch got knocked into the locked position instead of open

    Its a easy fix

nope.... if u put your finger on it, it has no detent on it... when u close the door the latch should snap and latch onto the striker... there is nothing there it moves freely..something let go in the latch.
