Funny because ever since that accelerator recall Toyota has been all over their floor mats. As other manufactures too. Honda has some crazy new backing on their mats to allow them to not slide plus the locking tabs to hold them.

Ok I may have a solution. I've tried the stick-on velcro, the spray-on rubber adhesive, the Gorilla Glue, and I ordered the 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive in one of the previous posts. Nothing has worked.

I did some research, ordered and just received the following parts.

    Floormat Screws: https://www.ecstuning.com/ES348762/
    Floormat Securing Hardware: https://www.ecstuning.com/ES348755/

I'm hopeful that this will do the trick. I'll post pictures once it's done.

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
I have Husky's as well.... My passenger mat is always slid forward about an inch after a passenger rides with me. It's only an inch, but sometimes that makes all the difference... HEHEHE!

It looks like a good solution. Are they easily removed if necessary for cleaning? Without becoming too loose with repeated removals?

Same problem here. Annoying as hell when I go wheeling and my girlfriend pushes the mat up then puts her dirty shoes on top of my carpet.

Hot glue some neodium magnets to the underside of the mat. That should do it.

    (probably)

Looks great! So the screws just screw into the carpet? Any lessons learned?

It's pretty straight forward. Just plan where you're going to cut the mat accordingly. I used a tiny drill bit to poke a hole into the carpet to get the screws started.

Make sure to leave enough room for the "washer" part of the screw when planning on location. I installed the anchor into the mat first then installed the screw.

Also, clicking both sides of the anchor together with the rubber mat in between is a bit hard. I actually used a rubber mallet on a hard surface to get it done.

Common sense rules all. Measure twice, cut once.

My truck came with the factory rug mats. I use the passenger rug mat under my husky and stays put much better. No drilling, not cutting, no glueing

Make her walk home. One repetition should be enough to learn that lesson.

Brilliant solution. I plan on borrowing this idea in the not too distant future. My mat movement drives me nuts.

Do you need to know, or care?
Nice fix and thanks for sharing. Not much of a problem with the carpet mats, but winters slide all over the place. This sounds like the fix I'm looking for, and just in time.

It's hard to believe with all the floormat issues Toyotas had over the year's that we are talking about how to fix or find a solution for a sliding floormat. Let alone using a VW fix. come on Toyota

To be fair if your search eBay, there are floormat anchors and screws made by Toyota, but nothing I found quite like the VW ones above.
