Todays odd project. Was to add and overhead handle for my passenger. Folks keep grabbing for a handle above their head that is not there. So I added one.
Still needs some more spacers so the material is not bunched up. Will add more spacers to the long bolt.

m8 1.25 bolts 50mm with shit ton of spacers to not bunch up the material too much. Will add more later.

There are a few issues installing this. I sit very high and my head would hit it on the drivers side. But only because I raised my seats higher up and I have after market seats and mounts. However you can use a handle that does not stick out as much. Also drilling was not easy. Behind the soft metal of the body interior there is a tough metal plate behind the overhead metal. Was nearly impossible to drill. Broke a few drill bits getting threw it.

I know you can find A pillars that have the handle as oem but apparently those only came in the 02-04 years but they mount up perfectly I guess. I use my door handle and center console to to get in and I’m noticing some play with the door handle so a handle would help.
