I changed my oil on Saturday and this question came up again.

I installed a OME/Dakar/Bilstein lift on my truck a couple months ago. I haven't been off road with it yet but every time I put the truck on a lift (and the rear axle is allowed to droop) the passenger leaf rests on the exhaust. The passenger side would probably droop as much as the driver side if the exhaust wasn't in the way. The shock boots also keep pulling off the shocks and the brakes hoses have no slack in them (they are extended brake hoses). I had to add a spacer between the hose bracket and rear axle. I know wheel articulation is good but it's almost like my axle has too much downward travel.

Ahhh the trials and tribulations of lifting our trucks. How much rear lift from the springs?

do you just have a ridiculous amount of droop? lol it actually seems like it. I have icon shocks and a 1.5 inch lift and at full droop I don't yank on my break lines at all. Nor does my pipe hit my pack...Try moving the pipe more towards the drivers side? As for shock boots that happens from impact and from droop. Especially on the inverted ones where the shaft faces the bed and not the floor. My icon shock's boots always are loose on the bottom, but I guess its nice, helps with drainage of stuff.

I see you have the RCD/Bilstein rears, which are 11" vs stock 9". I have the same exact setup (ext 5100/Dakar). Yes, you have a lot more droop and flex than if you were running stock 9" shocks. Mine also hits the exahust if I flex alot.

However, I don't worry about it because it's the end of the exhaust, I'm never going to have that much droop while on road, if I do have that much flex off road it's going to be at very low speeds so it's a non-issue IMO.
