Passenger seat weight sensor not working??

    2006 access cab tacoma
    Just bought a 2006 tacoma from an older single lady, and the passenger seat airbag says its off, with the switch switched to auto. And the passenger seat belt not buckled switch doesn't light up when someone is sitting in the passenger seat and the airbag light keeps the OFF light on. Has anyone had this same problem??
