Just want to give a big thank you to everyone who helped in my ujoint and ebrake threads. Took the truck for a spin tonight and she runs mint!! So happy.

Anyways my passenger side headlight wasn't working. I messed around with the wire a little bit and it clicked on. Slammed the hood shut... Off she went. I unplugged it again and plugged it back in a couple times and then it came on again until I slammed the hood it turned off...

I think the wiring is fine and its getting power... I don't think its the bulb because I got it to turn on and stay on a couple times until the hood slammed.

The contacts look clean but there is some sort of yellow sticky lube sprayed on them.

    Any ideas?

The filament may be failing. Swap the headlights left to right.

    Yellow stuff is normal.

Im kind of confused how to get at the bulb. It seems like its a whole assembly... Where as the yellow running lights are easy to get at. Ill go take another look at it though.

You guys were right! I can see a piece of the filament inside the broken one. And switching them also confirmed it. Thank you guys!!!

What do you guys use for headlights? Is it worth trying some of those super bright blue lights?
