Keep getting a squeak from my passenger side rear drum. Squeaks everytime the wheel makes a rotation... pressing the brake will stop the noise but then it comes back again. Over the last 2 days I have had the wheels off 7 or 8 times trying different things.

    Things i've noticed:

Passenger side drum has 1 balancing weight on the outside.. driver side has 2.

Tired reversing the drums... however the driver side drum will not work on the passenger side... when the hub is turned the shoes "grab" the drum at a certain point with each rotation. (spins loosely to a point then is difficult to spin.. then you get past that point and it spins.. then grabs again at the same point)

With the driver side drum moved to the passenger side.. and with the shoes adjusted all the way down until there is no longer an adjustment... (shoes adjusted as close in as possible) there is still a grabbing with each rotation.

I also have tried adjusting the shoes to no end with the passenger side drum left on the passenger side.... each time I go around the block there will be no noise but by the time i go around the block a second or 3rd time and the brakes have settled i get the squeaking again.

The shoes have plenty of life left on both sides but on the passenger side the shoe that faces the front of the vehicle has more wear on the inside of the shoe and the edges have less.

I have tried cleaning everything.... the bosses are all lubed. looks pretty inside there but still the passenger side squeak.

    My truck is a 2006 prerunner access cab 4.0l - 109k miles

    Still on stock brakes...

    Time for new brakes????

New brakes fix it? Same problem here I think.

New brake shoes and get the drums turned.
