Does anyone know if this button can be programmed to still roll down the passenger windows while set to lock?

I’d like control from the drivers seat without giving access to the kiddos in the back.

I would love a way to change this too, but I have a suspicion that it’s some how wiring/switch related. My wife’s old Subaru and my Tacoma both lock out everything when the window lock is on, but everything else we’ve ever had allowed the drivers switch to work all the windows no matter whether the lock is on or not.

    ...stuff
    Super simple mod:

Press the button once to unlock. Roll windows up or down to desired height.

Press button one more time to re-lock the windows.

    You’re welcome

Ask your dealer if what you’re looking to do can be accomplished through the head unit. Probably not but worth a shot.

Except that by unlocking the window control the children in the back now have control of the windows also, which is precisely the issue I’m trying to avoid.

Not a bad idea. I’ll give it a shot, but sometimes I wonder if the people at the dealer really are an expert on the cars they sell and work on.

3d print a cover for the passenger window button or whatever window you don't want someone to use...You can keep full control and they can't use the window..

Only for the few seconds it takes you to open/close the windows to their desired height before relocating the button.

Bump to old thread because I'm looking for a solution, too. Giving the driver full-time control, regardless of lock position, seems more intelligent. I'm not coming up with a situation where the driver would benefit from having no control over the windows. A hijacking, maybe?

I have two dogs that both roll down their windows by stepping on the button when looking out. Theirs can open completely in the few seconds it takes to unlock, adjust the driver or passenger window, then re-lock. Then, after realizing the rear windows are down, you have to unlock and lock once again. It's not a safe situation for driving.

A cover over the rear is a great solution, outside of a setting on the vehicle itself.

Better question is; why they still install that button on access cabs? Its only two windows.

My moms dog used to roll his head up in the window all the time while standing on the armrest and seat.
