The smart money is staying put, we're in a housing bubble again. The denial is strong just like the last time

I wouldn’t think about it terms of interest rates.

Having no debt and no payments is a great feeling.

like... say your boss gives you shit. It’s way easier to just say “f-you I quit”

or maybe you get laid off.

I keep around 25-30k in cash at all times and I have zero debt. about 50% of my monthly income has zero purpose, so I just save or invest in other things. I don’t really buy a lot of stuff either because I also believe in minimalism.

I have had a life of a normal person. Lots of debt and also making payments on something. This life is way better.

Stock market returns are only long term, and even then the returns are uncertain.

Debt is fixed and it’s certain that you will either pay it off or face dire consequences. I really don’t think the two financial instruments are comparable.

True, however, since many loans have more interest skimmed from the front of the loan, paying more principal early on can drop your length and keep more money in your pocket by dropping the principal owed over time.

That $11k in cash should have been in the stock market. The Dow Jones is up about 30% this year. It averages about 11% since 2009. Far out pacing the interest you are paying on the loan.

If the FED would stop goosing the market. They've dumped what like a half a trillion at banks since Sept 2019. Something is wrong and this will end badly

I wouldn’t say the stock market is certain.

Most of the gains happened before August. Since then it’s traded mostly sideways. Either way, if you aren’t in, you’re missing out.

Pay cash, not having monthly payments is the way to go, if you can swing it, I’m glad I did.

We're ten years into this cycle. If people want to keep buying have at it. There's a shit storm brewing and when it arrives the FED has painted themselves into a corner.

Most people think their 401k is the only economic bellwether. There's a reason why the FED is now back to QE again and that reason is unknown, but it can't be good.

That's what the average investor thinks and there is a reason it's called a contrarian indicator. The average investor is almost always wrong.

Consumer confidence is at record highs as is small business sentiment.

The feds rate cuts were only short term. I don't see any negative signs in the economy. The negative yield curve was a ominous sign but it reversed quickly.

You may want to do yourself a favor and read more than just one article though. I am a financial advisor and read a ton on this stuff. Also, that article is from October when the yield curve was inverted. A lot of data has come out since then and oddly, many of the talking heads who were yelling market melt down are now yelling market melt up.
