Worse poor business practices with too much debt filed bankruptcy and with how they were structured they were able to use the bankruptcy to not deliver or pay back those that had prepaid for their product that was never delivered. There is a pretty big thread on here with the whole shebang laid out in more detail.

Personally, I do not have a need for this. HOWEVER, my friend, who got me into modding, camping, overlanding, and most importantly Search and Rescue would absolutely put this to good use. I'll be honest and say he does NOT drive a Tacoma (even if everyone mistakes it for one), he's more of a ... well... he's DEFINITELY a Ford guy. But he is extremely helpful to anyone who needs his expertise or a helping hand. He's very generous with his time, tools, and his shop, all while being married with two kids! He's taught me everything I know about wiring, he's done all the real dirty work on my truck (mounting my awning, bumpers, sliders... built me a battery box).

Here's a pic of his Ranger below on a trip he lead us up the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route.

    upload_2021-1-14_8-5-19.jpg

He just ordered a single BB lithium battery to replace the batteries in his Jayco (pictured behind my truck below). The battery cage would be great to mount his new battery solid in there.

    upload_2021-1-14_8-11-32.jpg

Here's a pic of his shop that makes drying out my Habitat possible during rainy weather. And where he's cut off my bedsides and installed my rear bumper... and sliders... and who knows what else. Currently he's got another SAR volunteer's ATV in there on jackstands. He had to help cut off a frozen bolt and remove a front CV. Soon as parts are in he'll be helping get it back together.

If chosen, It'd be great if you could send it directly to him. I've got his address. I'm sure he'd enjoy a surprise "gift".

    Lol, Thx.

He loves that Ranger. His dad bought it new YEARS ago. I think his latest real mod on it was fabricating his own BBK. I drove it once pulling my empty car hauler... it was scary trying to stop it with those 35s. Brakes should come BEFORE supercharger!

There is a lot of cool stuff you can do with them from some other fords. Like my 92 I swapped an 8.8 disc brake rear out of an explorer under it. All sorts of stuff cross model things you can do.

Yup! His rear axle is outta a F150. I think lincoln navigator brakes he modified to make work on the front. but hey, lets not distract this thread too much. haha!!

Not sure how convincing this is, but I'm accumulating parts for a battery upgrade and aux fuse/relay box. I was planning on going 27F, but didn't know something bigger would fit in that spot.

    ¡That's no bueno!

And it's how my 31M was orginaly secured. The weight of the battery eventually broke the mount. And it broke on a weekend through the Mojave Desert..

I'd definitely use this and am more than willing to put a sticker over any branding to not give credence to the brand that screwed so many others. I luckily wasn't one who got screwed but I almost was...luckily saw the writing on the wall while they were still accepting orders toward the end but I did like their front bumper design.

Anyway, I have an old Four Wheel Camper and would like to move its battery from the camper into the engine bay to reduce the overloading of the rear axle. The battery is heavy so this would go a long way toward that. Currently the rear is 200lbs over GVW and the front is about 200 under.

PS: thanks for paying it forward, this is an awesome idea!

No idea what your criteria is/are......

But this post is near perfection. Not only the Karma, but the proper use of "shat" in relation to the manufacturer.

Christ, I'll PayPal you the shipping if that'll tip the scales.
