    Why does the engine only turn 1700rpm?

    and the tow test literally is towing 6500lbs up a long highway (AZ highway 68 out of bullhead city eastbound, to be exact).

    I mean, it would probably downshift, or you could if you have a manual transmission. There would probably be quite a bit of heat under the hood, sure, but what does that have to do with the driving experience? Assuming the truck's cooling system is up to par, I wouldn't expect to see engine temps much higher than in an N/A V6 doing the same task. The engine bay itself will probably be hotter from the turbo of course, but again, what does that have to do with the driving experience?

    I think the V6 is a better towing solution than the i4-turbo will be (not sure about the hybrid). If my truck lugs in 5th (3000 lb boat) I just lock it in 4th gear and deal with a little more engine whine at 60-65 MPH.
