bandaids... over wight is over weight. for some reason guys think these trucks are 1/2 or 3/4 ton trucks. they are super (actually pathetically) light duty. built to look like a truck and use as a truck for the occasional trip to home Depot.

Where my truck goes a full size won't fit. So yeah some of us need a smaller package and make it work. We're not all pavement queens.

    This and that
So, you’re saying our trucks were built for Instagram only?

It's funny I have over 210k and do more truck stuff than most full sizes do and run over loaded most of the time. Yet I have had minimal failures from actual Toyota parts. Aftermarket yep there's been issues.

I may be wrong, but the Tacoma is technically a 1/2 truck...

I haven't had any issues from Toyota, or aftermarket parts, only positive experiences. :notsure:

For the record, this is not a stock Tacoma and all stunts were performed at an off-road course under a controlled environment

    Spc ucas dead in 8k
Bent drivers side tie rod "given the situation at the time I won't fault it.
2 sets of lca's one was siezed cam bolts second setting was warranty from dead ball joints.
    One front wheel bearing
    2 cv boots
Trashed elka 2.0's all around including one snapped shaft.
1 set of bed bars cracked all 4 elbows
Finish on a prinsu rack failed horribly within a year.
I think that's it. The truck see's alot of gravel roads and that washboard takes its toll and a fair amount of trail days. I don't abuse the truck but it gets used.

I'm surprised you haven't broken the bed outlet cover dumping all that debris. I usually rent a truck from hd or uhaul with insurance for that kind of abuse.

I have the dirt king upper control arms, so far so good. Also, the war fab tie rod sleeves seem to help out. No problems with the lower control arms or cv boots. I went with Dobinson's over Elka

Full disclosure, I did replace one front wheel bearing with full Toyota replacement, but that's it! And, The poly bushings in the upper control arms are ready to be replaced, but I'm replacing them with the new TRD upper control arms. Other than that, nothing. The truck is an absolute complete unit.

I replaced the spc's with dirt kings and couldn't be happier 2 years later. Not ideal for tire clearance but the just work. The 2.0 elkas were apparently known for failure if you beat on them. Replaced with 2.5 dsc fronts and 2.5 rears and they have been solid. Buddies mrr set lasted about as long as my 2.0's
