Has anyone sent money to someone through paypal using your email and sending it to their email? It just seems so easy to me I am skeptical to do it. Thanks.

Do it all the time when buying stuff from members on here. It really is just that easy. Just make sure you send your money to the correct email address haha

    yeah, it seems too easy
the reason it works is because, when you set up your paypal account, your email address is linked to your bank account
so, you're essentially sending from your bank account to someone elses

Personally, I'd avoid using a bank account. Use a credit card instead.

Yep that's it. Also if you don't get the product or if it's damaged you are covered and have a way of resolving the situation or getting back your money.

You actually are not required to link your bank account, though it does make for a difficult challenge depending on purchases. For a while I only had my credit card connected so that when I made a purchase it went through my credit card. The advantage is that I never needed to give someone my credit card information, just my PayPal info. I have been using PayPal since 1998 and have had nothing but good things to say about it.

Bank accounts are NOT always linked...just don't send as a GIFT unless you're sending to family or friends...it's harder to dispute if something goes array. I sell quite a bit thru paypal with no issues.

    Yeah.
Paypal works great, but they do have some frustrating rules. To eliminate some limits (a $10K lifetime limit, but it may even be less now), you have to get "verified" by connecting your account to an actual bank account. Only ONE Paypal account can be associated with ONE bank account. My wife already has hers linked to our bank account, so they won't let me get "verified." I eventually hit the limit on that account (helped some non-techy friends purchase a grand piano on eBay, which ate it up pretty quickly), and I had money sitting in it that it wouldn't even let me use! It took a long, very frustrating phone call to get them to cut me a check and zero it out.

Anyway, I just used a different email address and set up a new account, problem solved.

The reason for the $10k limit is that is the maximum amount of money coming in that can be allowed before PayPal is required by federal law to report income to the IRS.

As for linking multiple accounts and multiple PayPals, that is not true. I have two different PayPal accounts, and BOTH are tied to the same two bank accounts. Never had a problem with it.

You can also have the seller send you an invoice from paypal instead of just sending it to their email, that way you are sure you're paying the right person.
