agreed, and to add to that- if you look hard enough you'll find that someone out there can help you change parts ;)... http://eshop.macsales.com/MyOWC/

    :amen:

i would challenge that... both run almost the same hardware these days so i assume you are really talking about software, and since you can install windows on mac hardware, i would have to say that's false.

you got me on that one (out of the box)... but you have to admit that the list of available games for OSX is growing. personally i leave all the gaming to my consoles (i have all 3 :D), but i have plenty friends that are die hard PC gamers

Games are for my PS3. :D

I do WORK on my MacBook. Do work son. It's capabilities are amazing. It's the fastest computer I've ever used.

I used to be PC, but now I'm a Mac. I won't be going back. I've had way too many problems with PC. I've had zero problems whatsoever on any Macs that I've used. I've been using Mac for 3 years.

I've got both, but would rather use my macbook. I will however never buy a pc (hp, dell, etc) I just make them to the specs I want, and for much cheaper. If I had to buy a desktop I'd defiantly pick up an IMac.

ha! i thought the screen on mine went out one time. if i send a text on my BB, then put my phone down on the front right corner of my macbook while it is open, as soon as that text sends my mac goes to sleep. but it only works with a BB and only works if it is on that specific corner BEFORE the text has been pushed out. first time it did it pressing keys wouldn't turn the screen back on. finally i said "damn, my screen just crapped out" and closed it. when i opened it back up it woke up and everything was fine

but, i do agree that their hardware is not any more stable than most PC's. their software is unstopable but touch pads and screens will fail, just like any other computer. good thing is, mac stands behind their product and ifyou have a mac store close by you dont have to ship it off

do you have to use firewire? mac book pro has it but my regular mac book does not, which really surprised me when i got it. could you do the same thing with usb?

oh yeah, and for all you pc users.... you know how when you first get your computer it is smoking fast but the more hd space you use the more it slows down? not with a mac. it constantly defragments in the background and organizes itself without you having to do it yourself. i have about 70% of my hd filled up and it is just as fast as day 1. when i got my pc it was lightning fast but i had to keep the hd 60% free of stuff to keep it that way

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
i was talking about the fact that digitalriver is legit. I wasn't sure about it at first. And I wasn't saying you were pwned either. Just saying, no computer is perfect. I feel that the difference between a mac and PC is software only. Internally, they are both computers.

oh yeah, they did make a version of the macbook for like 6 months that didn't have firewire, they got changed that pretty quick and put it back, but i'm pretty sure that it's firewire only

i bought a mac mini on cragslist (don't have it anymore) and it still had like 3 months left on the apple care... well the superdrive went out- so i took it to the apple repair shop on campus (they know me well down there since i take care of all the computers for our dept) well it was covered so they ordered a new drive and installed it and i had my computer back in 24 hours!
