Yeah I know, just frustrating at first haha

It'll be nice and low since I can get up to 6" out of the rear alone. Just a couple of more inches will allow me to stand on the balls of my feet on both sides, so if I get just 4" I think I'll be good.

    Hopefully....

I was wearing my uniform boots, but I'm going to look into some riding boots that have more sole and better ankle protection.

Well you could do that but they are expensive. I just wear work boots.

Hey, I just saw you got a bike. Congratulations and welcome to another time consuming rabbit trail. I grew up on XRs, so I'm proud to see you on a CRF!

You're running the Summit Racing 85 Black 8 Series Wheel that I'm interested in... How are they as an off-road wheel? How's the rubbing, especially with the brakes? I've read a lot that 15s rub a lot with the brakes and the brakes need to be grinded down.

    Yeah, I'll be looking around.
Thanks! It's my first bike. Still learning but I know I'm going to enjoy it!
For off road they're great. I've taken a few chunks out of them on rocks and they've held up really well.

They do rub the calipers unless you grind the calipers slightly or run a 1/4" spacer. I've been running a 1/4" spacer with E/T lug nuts for over a year with no issues.
    Yeah, it's better :p

Bit off topic, but what method did you use to bedline your flares? Take them off the truck or leave them on?

    Took them off.

Tried painting them while they were still on the truck but it was a lot harder.

Got the tie rods and rack bushings replaced today as well as got an alignment. Thing steers pretty solid now. If only I had the steering wheel tack weld mod... Haha

It feels so much better haha I didn't realize how much play there really was.

Was going to get the lower ball joints replaced but they said there's no play in the current ones. So I'll wait a little longer on that.
