    What's not worth it?
Yeah, I asked ponethousand since he's running the exact setup I want in the rear.
    Huh?

Also, a good looking truck. You sure got a thing for black! This is my new one. It is not a TRD but the guy who had it before me got those rims and put the stickers on like a idiot. Just haven't took them off.

    sorry,

I wouldn't get LCA skids..not worth it. the stock LCAs take abuse just fine.

you don't need custom length shocks..you'll pay out the ASS for a custom length shock. your better off getting a 10-12'' shock and mounting it in a way that utilizes the full travel of the shock.

Eh, plan to get them no matter what. Figured I might as well get them while they're discounted.

But as far as I know the Icon's for our Tacoma's are not 10" or 12" shocks?

you can get any Fox, King, Icon, SAW even Billies in longer lengths..

almost all will have 10'' 12'' options. Better then asking them to make a custom length one.

of course not..why would it be?

custom would be like..i need a shot that has 11.4'' of travel with the collapsed length of X and extended length of Y..

    that makes no sense..

techinally, companies like Icon that make OEM replacement shocks for Application X..those are the custom ones..they need to fit within certain boundaries of the vehicles stock geometry and every vehicle is different..

6,8,10,12,14,16,18'' is just normal shocks..you take those..and make them work with your set up what ever it may be using limit straps and bump and location of the mounts to get the most out of said shock. So take custom work to make them work the best for you..but nothing custom about the shock..except maybe the valving you do to it..or if you splurge and get variable valving..then the possibility's are endless..

Hmm, wonder what length ponethousand's are... I want 12" shocks if the shock body isn't that much longer than the 10" ones.

only 12'' stroke i know that fits stock locations okay and has a body damn near the same or less then most 10s is the 7100 short body.

Not sure what ponethousand is even running..

I'll probably go 10" then depending on what he says he's running.

That's my point of using the term "custom". Brent, as Blackdawg is pointing out you can't just say, "I want to order a 12" shock." You need to know how much travel it is expected to see and the mount point geometry.
