Haha I'm using plastidip! I already have some and I'm NOT spending any money even if it is less than $10!
I'm definitely ready to get the sway bar off, I love it when the front flexes, it looks so awesome!
I figured, I'll just wait until I get my new wheels and tires and if it continues I'll get a cb drop bracket.

Haha thanks! And nope, no non-flex pictures... I was too excited to try and fully flex it first(which I still couldn't!) then it got too dark.

As for parts it's the following:
    Front - Eibach coils/Bilstein 5100's
    Rear - ProComp AAL/Bilstein 5100's

I haven't done measurements yet, I'll get those tomorrow when I wash it.

There was sooo much luck involved in me getting this truck! I found an 02 tacoma that wasn't a TRD off road model that was located back home while I was in tech school. It only had 80,000 miles but they wouldn't go below $14,000 and wanted a $4,000 down payment! When I cam home and saw it, I was glad I didn't get it. It was obviously used on a farm and the skid plate was beat up pretty bad. My dad told me just to wait and find a better one. I never figured I'd find another 01-04 black extended cab tacoma. Sure enough I come to this base that nobody in my career field has gotten assigned to in 2 years and find this! Haha 120,000 miles and looked brand new! And it was a TRD off road!

Crazy that I've only had it for a little over 2 months and it's gone from this to this...

Haha I finally got the parts installed after having them for a month! Getting your truck lifted is good and bad. Good because it looks awesome, bad because now I "have" to get new tires... ;)

Haha that's understandable, when I was in highschool I never had any money for good mods, so I went cheap...

But since I went straight into the military after high school, I'm getting a consistent paycheck. Honestly being able to have bought this Tacoma and mod it is one of my top reasons I'm glad I joined! Haha

Just ordered a diff drop kit from Wheelers Offroad. For some reason I can't understand how you install it, even after reading the instructions.... Hopefully it'll all make sense once I'm under the truck looking at the differential!

Oh... Haha well maybe the millimeters that it does change to my angles will help. I really don't feel like attempting the boot slide mod! My outer boots are very close to touching and my inner boots are barely touching.

Parts wise.... I have about $615. More pics definitely tomorrow! I was going to wash it but it's supposed to rain all day.... :( It looks clean in pictures, but it's got a film on it from all the snow and salt. I sprayed the whole truck to get as much of the salt off though. But yes, definitely more pics haha

Honestly, everybody you ask is going to tell you to get what they have... I was too impatient to save up the extra $200 to go OME so I went with the Bilstein/Eibach setup, and don't regret it a bit so far. Otherwise just get what you want really, you can't go wrong with either setup.

I put lines on these pics to show you the angle mine were at. Mine were basically flat and the 2inch pro comp AAL did the job.

EDIT* Now that I look at the pics, my leafs were flatter than the line I put... Haha

So I really want to do the boot slide mod, but I'm worried I wont be able to get it done in a day and be screwed... Haha What's challenging about it? What's the best method, using sealant as well or not?

So essentially I just lift the truck, remove the tire, cut off the old clamp, apply a small bead of RTV in front of the boot, slide it down, then tighten the new clamp on? What's the part that makes people say it's so difficult?

Will do, I'll get detailed pics of all the suspension and get some good pics of it from the side to compare to stock photos.

True... Removing the tire probably wouldn't make much of a difference since you access everything from under the truck  haha

How hard was it to slide the boot down? Was it just hard to keep the boot slid down while trying to put on the new clamp?

Hmm, okay... So basically the tools would be a flat head, phillips head, pliers.... Anything else?
