Do you have to paint the whole thing or just the part that moves up/down?

Depends on what you want. If you just want a different cutoff, then you paint the top edge of the curved piece that moves up an down.

But if you want to have the demon eyes, or blue reflection, or smoked reflection, you paint the front part of the whole shield, which isn't pictured.

I'm just going to paint the whole shield black instead of trying to worry about what to tape off and everything. Doesn't hurt anything to do it that way.

I know what you mean. After I paint my bumper, that's it for a while. I want new tires ASAP, but It'll be due for its first timing belt change in about 10k miles. I hate spending money on things like that, but you gotta do it.

Yeah... I've got to change the oil in 1,000 miles, rotate the tires, grease the u-joints, possibly flush my coolant. The hose right above the front skid is leaking coolant... A very small amount to not make a difference, but still need to replace the hose before it gets worse.

Are you able to get it off and on by yourself?

Also, how difficult was it to align all the plates when you were having it welded on? Did the welders know what to do or was it tough work to get every plate to line up with the next piece?

I wasn't either until I saw a pic of them haha
    about 100-110...
Pretty difficult...Everybody's truck is slightly different, so he makes the mounts to where they have some room. But it's still a challenge.

Aligning the plates wasn't terrible. They're not perfectly symmetrical, but you can't tell. It's like a cookie cutter setup, so there will be some gaps.

Anyways, got it finished and mounted back up! I'll get better pics tomorrow. Now I get to go to work for 9 hours after being up all day painting this bumper...
