3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Notice any sagging up front now that there is more weight? Your springs look to be holding the weight of the bumper very well, doesn't seem to have dropped at all.

Rides better with the extra weight haha it lowered it by about 1/8"-1/4" but it's hardly noticeable.

Haha you may have finally found a way to get away with it!

They were talking about issues with cops, but they said it doesn't look like blue lights, it looks more like blue paint with the way it reflects onto the lens.

I don't know anything about the retros yet, what's making them look blue in those photos? Do they have like a running light or something?

The way it works it they paint the cutoff shield that creates the cutoff whatever color they want. In turn when the HIDs are on, some light shines on the cutoff shield making the projector lens look blue or whatever color you painted them.

Nope, the HID's shine out of the projector past the cutoff shield. But it also lights up everything inside the shroud. so when you paint the side of the cutoff shield that's facing the projector it shows that color. Because the projector is just a magnifying glass, so it makes the color of the cutoff shield look big.

So basically, you can only see the blue when they are turned off and the regular headlights are white when turned on right?

Like I said I know zero about them and have never seen them apart lol

No, you can see it either way because the projector just magnifies what's behind it. So it's just magnifying the painted shield making it look blue. There's no blue light at all. You can just see it better with the lights on because, just like when you turn on a light in a room, it throws light onto everything allowing you to see the blue paint better.

Yeah, I was just explaining to her how it works. I'm painting mine all black to give it a smoked look. 4300k bulbs ftw! :D

Yup, his are painted red and the headlights are off. What you're seeing is the shield, but the magnifying effect of the projector lens zooms in on it making it look like the glass is red.

I'm doing all 4300k as well. I didn't bother painting the shield though.

And not to hijack, but yes, the light that you see hitting the road will be white/yellowish/whatever, just like usual. The only people who may see some color when they're on will be people looking at the headlights from the outside. You won't see blue lights on the road as long as you choose 4300k or 5000k bulbs. I say 4300k or nothing for headlights personally but others disagree.

haha baby steps to an answer...

But his headlights will be white? Not pink, not red...white? Does painting the shield skew the color of the lights?

I don't get why people argue about what's brighter. The manufacture's of the lights even say the 4300k will give you the most usable light output. 5000k just looks whiter.

Yes, because the only light coming out is from the HID's, the red is just a zoomed in view of the shield.
