    Hello all.

In school the other day, I was looking on the forums about my truck when I saw someone mention the PCS system. This then reminded me how I have never had my truck brake for me like it has for others. Would anyone know what this is? Before, I had the sensitivity on high and when I was cutting through traffic it started to beep at me and say "BRAKE!" on the dash, but it never hit the brakes. Im just curious if certain taco models have the braking feature or not, and I definitely don't want to test it because I am not 100% sure.

it will brake as you get closer (also speed dependent, I believe).

It would have if it detected that you were on the same path maintaining or gaining speed. It shows "BRAKE!" on the dash a second before it actually does it for you.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard on every trim and every Toyota vehicle. I'm not sure what year they made that move, though.

Mine did it the other day going 45 someone was in the turn lane (not in front of me)it slammed the brakes on of course someone was on my bumper so I hit the gas at the same time so I didn’t get rear ended so you have to watch it. I’ve had to do this a couple of times.

Something is definitely wrong with your system.

So either the system is not working correctly or whoever is complaining about it on their truck drives like an A-hole? I think its a good thing to have and only had it beep at me once when traffic was suddenly slowing down much faster than I thought. If I had not been paying attention I would love for it to hit the brakes.

If I remember reading correctly if you touch the brake or gas you override the pcs with your input. It will only automatically brake if it thinks you are going to crash and you don't try to avoid it yourself. The brake warning comes on early to make you take action.
