just joined. just bought my first truck in Sept. I have a Tacoma SR5. recent issue is that sporadically, the PCS Off, ABS and Slip indicator lights come on and I get warning messages "pre-Collision system malfunction" and "ABS check anti-lock brake system". The lights go off when I turn off the engine and restart. first time this happened, I was told by dealer that it was because I needed to keep the sensors clean (windshield and grille emblem). twice, the lights came on when both areas were clean. after a snow storm, the emblem was completely covered with road salt/debris and the lights never came on. This has happened 4 times. Just went to dealer with the lights on and there were no error codes. I was told that unless there was an error code, they could not tell what the problem was. I would just have to keep coming back. Wondering if anyone else ever have this issue and what was done about it? If this was an electrical issue, would an error code be indicated? Thanks for your input. I have 4100 miles on it. I did add a remote starter and alarm. the receiver is on the windshield next to the camera sensor

correction - the rear view mirror is between the camera and receiver. not sure if the receiver might be causing any kind of electrical interference

well. got my truck back on Thursday after the dealer replaced the radar sensor behind the grille emblem and drove it home (5 miles) no dash lights. Sat all day in driveway Friday. Today, took truck shopping and within 4 miles, the lights came back on. When I was done shopping, started truck up, no lights. I manually turned off the PCS. no lights came on. got gas and restarted truck, turned off the PCS again. no lights came on. I stopped at a light and for the hell of it, I turned the PCS on and within 1 mile, the lights came back on.

that is my intention. I originally posted this under Generation 1 and when I realized what I had done, I reposted here. someone responded that they had the exact same thing happen to them on Wed.

Update...brought truck back to dealer on Monday. they gave me a loaner. they test drove and could not recreate issue. they kept truck and finally lights came back on. they found error codes and they replaced the radar again. they kept truck an additional day for add'l road testing. all is ok. I get truck back yesterday. today, driving up to NH and lights came back on. Going back to dealer on Monday. Got to my destination and truck sat in driveway for about 3-4 hours and I drove home without the lights coming back on.
