    Hello TW. Newbie here.
Purchased my first Tacoma and first Toyota in November 2019!
Love every bit of it. Big plans for her but at the moment money is kinda tight! Anywho...ill get to it.... yesterday night i started her up and the yellow icon on the bottom left in the dash came on. I believe its the PCS(off). Never had it popped up it went away after driving about 5 miles. Note the weather was a bit cold about 45°F. Ive read into other peoples post and they have had the same issue during rain and snow. Should i be alarmed and take it to the dealer? Thanks

I've had it pop on and off a few times in the rain, snow or cold. It hasn't come back in months. I wouldn't worry it's just dirt on the sensor so it turns itself off as a precaution until it senses properly again.

Something as simple as a dirty windshield will temporarily disable PCS. Sounds like nothing to worry about.

Yeah...most of the threads state that dirty windshield or perhaps dirty emblem. But in my case both were spotless. Figured its the weather. Just wanted to see how common was for others to be getting that warning light. I believe there was some sort of recall regarding the emblem sensor on the 18' not too sure. Thank for the replies

If there is a bit of frost on the sensors it will temporarily disable it. I have had the same thing happen to me. Usually by the time I make it to the main street, its back active.
There was a recall and it involved either a foam pad or new design sensor depending on if there were any troubles with the current sensor. Mine got the foam pad. The new design sensor has some little holes in it if I remember correctly.

Yeah maybe like Marek71 said as a precaution the system disables when is not getting a proper signal or reading. I just find it a bit weird for a vehicle designed to be in rough elements mud/snow/water etc would have sensors that are so sensitive to anything really. Do you know the reason of the recall? I checked my VIN my vehicle wasnt part of the recall.
