    Thanks for the reminder! The valve i bought at NAPA has been in for about 5 years. Time to put the cleaned up OEM unit back in and keep the NAPA one as my spare.

    I cleaned mine on my '08 for years, but one day, I tried the balloon trick, and sure enough, it was leaking—regardless of how clean I got it or how much it rattled. I would have never suspected it, even when I literally tried to blow through it. It was a very subtle leak. OEM for me.

    I would opt for OEM...

    If you have the 2.7, NAPA 2-9617.
    If you have the 4.0, NAPA 2-9550 or Gates EMH1002.

    All of NAPA's PCV valves are made by Standard/Echlin, one of the better aftermarket choices.
